Description: Ruby red in appearance, the nose intens ewith blackberry, sour cherry, violet and a notes of balsamic and herbs. On the palate, dry, clean, smooth, sapid, the acidity and body is well-balanced. The typical acidity of Barbera is here balanced by smoothness and sweet sensation and by the flavour concentration. Le More is a wine for the whole meal, ideal with white savoury meats, read meats, baked recipes and vegetarian dishes.

More Info: The Cascina Gilli barbera vineyards are surrounded by a dense population of blackberry bushes. This, combined with the fact that among the characteristics this grape variety is the soft scent and sensation of ripe blackberries, which lends to the name of the wine. This label reflects a tradition that starts from what was once called "Vigna delle More", produced since 1990. This wine is obtained with a careful vinification of Barbera grapes harvested in the third week of September and selected from a single vineyard, the Schierano vineyard. The vinification takes place in stainless-steel tanks, with 10 days maceration. Aging for about 6 month in stainless-steel tank. Ready to drink now but has potential for ageing (3- 5 more years).

From its inception in 1983, Cascina Gilli has dedicated their care and attention to the indigenous grape varieties of their region. They have always felt the role of custodians in respect of this special variety. In their words: ‘Over the years we have made enormous progress in understanding this precious grape and it seems that it has not yet finished surprising us.’
